2 PETER 3:8-9 MSG
Don’t overlook the obvious here, friends. With God, one day is as good as a thousand years, a thousand years as a day. God isn’t late with his promise as some measure lateness. He is restraining himself on account of you, holding back the End because he doesn’t want anyone lost. He’s giving everyone space and time to change.
It's not about the "delay" or "lateness." He comes right on time and He is faithful. Sometimes it's about our capacity. God is preparing us and the souls that we must carry to the anticipated promise.
When we are stationed in the promise before time or before we are ready, we can oppress those who are meant to work with us because we got to the promise without allowing the process of preparation to grow through us. Operating in the promise before time means our minds are not yet ready to understand the operations of that particular area and we require assistance to operate in that area. When we have no awareness of how we got to the promise and we don't know how to maneuver, we create pressure and frustration for ourselves and those who are meant to be working with us. We create pressure because we are not trained to assist in that particular area.
2 Peter 3:18 also encourages us to grow in the knowledge of Christ and favour of God. As we grow in the knowledge of Christ, we are therefore able to better understand the favour of God. The favour of God is well packaged and comes with protection and reservoirs to refill the mind in times of need. The favour of men however does not consider certain perks when it places a candidate in the promise before time. The candidate therefore struggles to maneuver in their area of the promise because they couldn't handle waiting for God's "thousand years." Many souls who are meant to be assisted by the candidate cannot be carried by the capacity of the candidate in their area of need because of the lack of preparation to the promise. This does not mean that the candidate is not called to operate in the promise but the candidate should be well trained and well prepared to assist in that area where they are stationed.
There is no lateness in God. The favour of God opens the right doors at the right time. Even the doors blocked by principalities and powers of the kingdom of darkness cannot prevail when God has decided that "it is time." Be encouraged to seek assistance if you're struggling to operate in your promise...God will lift up a standard against what is hindering your progress. Also be encouraged and know that though you may think you are delayed or late...God is right on time. Rejoice with those who have arrived because your time is coming.
