The strength of the firmament

Imagine if God did not speak light to the void and dark earth in the beginning? Or imagine if He never put lights in the firmament to divide day from night. He made two great lights, the greater to rule the day, and the lesser to rule the night. After His creation, He saw all was good. This gave Him fulfilment and satisfaction to move to His next project.

Amongst many aspects of the creation of God in Genesis 1 what fascinates me these days is His order. He created the stars and put them on space. He created an invisible layer to keep the moon, the sun and the stars in their own space.

We are made in His own image. The intelligence and excellence on His mind when He created all these is our inheritance. May God invoke every ability in you that can create to such a magnitude. I personally pray for that. May every project that lands on my hands or mind have the order, excellence and the wisdom of God when He created in Genesis 1. The same way He locked every star in it’s own space and made sure that the firmament never tears for the waters above to invade our space, may I harness and master that discipline in my spiritual life until it manifest in that order.

You are made in the image of God. You have a mind of Christ. Meditate on this word day and night. Let this mind be in you, which was in Christ Jesus. May the strength of your mind be as firm as that of the firmament.
