What is your soul craving?

Have you ever wondered what happens in your soul when you can’t seem to control over indulgence on whatever comforts your soul? Does it mean whatever comforts me is the loudest voice in my soul? Does it mean I’m following my own desires and worshiping them? Are my desires my lord and strength at that time of over indulgence? What does it all mean?

Jeremiah received this message from the Lord in Jeremiah 13:10 “These wicked people refuse to listen to me. They stubbornly follow their own desires and worship other gods.”

Can all this be linked to 1 John 2:16?

1 John 2:16 NLT

For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions.

  • Lust of the flesh
  • Lust of the eyes
  • Pride of life

What are the desires of your soul?

May I do what pleases God so I can live. 1 John 2:17 May my soul, desire the Word of God! May I find the Word of God and eat.

Jeremiah 15:16 NKJV

Your words were found and I ate them, and Your word was to me the joy and rejoicing of my heart; For I am called by Your name, O Lord God of host.
