The fountain of our words

It is said that death and life are in the power of the tongue. We are also told that the words that we speak, are spirit and they are life. Meaning, what comes out of our mouths can give life or destroy. What have you been giving birth to through your words? And the Word of God also says, declare a thing and it shall be established! We declare with our mouths and we see the manifestation of our words.

The big question on my mind now becomes this; which is more important? The sound of the words we speak or the fountain of the words we speak? Jesus says in;

Matthew 12:33-34 MSG

“If you grow a healthy tree, you’ll pick healthy fruit. If you grow a diseased tree, you’ll pick worm–eaten fruit. The fruit tells you about the tree.“You have minds like a snake pit! How do you suppose what you say is worth anything when you are so foul–minded? It’s your heart, not the dictionary, that gives meaning to your words.

As you speak words that give life and as you declare to establish, examine the fountain of your words. May your fountain be filled with healing, love, peace, joy and prosperity!
